Dorr students raise $12,580 for Jump Rope for Heart

Dorr Elementary School held its annual Jump Rope for Heart and Hoops for Heart event last month to raise awareness about heart disease and money for the American Heart Association. Betty Onopa, physical education teacher at Dorr Elementary, said the school raised $12,580 this year. Subway partners with the American Heart Association to sponsor Jump Rope for Heart and Hoops for Heart events.  Students who raised $75 or more were invited to have a Subway party where Dorr Subway donated subs and cookies for the group.
