Dorr students show off annual wax museum projects

Fourth-graders from Dorr Elementary complete their Wax Museum projects and teachers and parents believe every year they seem to get better and better. Over a five-week period, students research either a person, place or event in history. They read two books and two articles for their research. They are required to type up a packet, create a display board, write a two-minute speech and memorize it. Students also come up with a costume and/or props to use for their displays. On the day of the presentations, the students are placed in the hallways and in the media center as family, guests, staff members and fellow students listen to their presentations. (Photo supplied)
