The Dorr Township Planning Commission unanimously elected all officers and noted tentative plans to have the seven-member group restored to full strength.
Re-elected were Chairman Robert Wagner, Vice Chairman Robert Traxler and Secretary Rich Osbun. Dan Beute was selected as the backup secretary to record minutes in the event Osbun is absent.
Commissioner Larry Dolegowski said about Osbun, “He’s doing a fantastic job (as secretary). He should get a raise.”
The Planning Commission has been meeting most of the year with only six members. A vacancy was created when Dan Weber changed jobs and was unavailable for the Tuesday evening meetings. He was succeeded by Township Treasurer Brian Boot as the board’s representative, but Boot has not attended since he was defeated in the primary election in August.
“We will address this vacancy on the commission after the election (Nov. 8),” Wagner said.
Township Supervisor Jeff Miling will make the appointment.
