The Dorr Township Planning Commission Tuesday in a virtual meeting approved two requests for special use permits.

One was a request from Black Gold Transport Inc. to construct and operate an asphalt, concrete or similar refining and manufacturing plant on the east side of Dorr Commerce Drive. It was approved, with Commissioner Terri Rios casting the only negative vote.

A request for an amendment to an existing special use permit from John Myers at 2197 142nd Ave., was approved unanimously. Myers asked to expand an existing storage building to allow for indoor storage of construction materials and equipment for Myers Builders, Inc.
