The Dorr Township Planning Commission approved all four requests that came before it Tuesday evening.

Three were for special use permits, along with site plan reviews. The other was for rezoning a house and property from commercial to rural estates.

Joe Jablonski asked to have the house and 1.82 acres of property at 2211 138th Ave. rezoned to give him a better opportunity to sell it.

Noting the property immediately to the east of Jablonski’s house was rural estates, Commissioner Larry Dolegowski said, “It should zoned rural estates anyway.”

The vote for the change was 4-0, with Dolegowski, Chairman Bob Wagner, Vice Chairman Bob Traxler and Commissioner Dan Beute affirming. John Conklin, Rich Osbun and Dan Weber were not in attendance.

ProLine Construction won site plan approval for an addition at the end of the ProLine Drive cul de sac just south of 142nd Avenue.

Brad Iverson, representing the company, said the new 9,000-square-foot wood structure building would include a bathroom and would have water from a private hydrant and sewer service.

A special use permit and site plan approval was granted to Jeff Hunter and the North Recovery business at 4222 Park Lane. The one-acre parcel that is home to an outdoor vehicle storage business will have an office building and fencing added.

Anna Lewman, co-owner, representing North Recovery, said she and Hunter would like a secure area to store the vehicles. She said the business keeps the vehicles only for 15 days before they are taken to auction.

The business also plans to have lighting and a motion sensor on site.

The 16-by-32-foot building will include a bathroom

and will serve as a business office for three employees.

Finally, John Myers, who also is a member of the Hopkins Board of Education, asked for a special use permit for the addition of a 24-by-60-foot pole building at the Myers Builders for storage. The site is 10 acres in size.
