Wayland dentist Dr. Bruce Sexton DDS has announced he is retiring this summer after practicing for 39 years.

In a prepared statement from his office, it was reported on Facebook, “After 39 years, our favorite dentist has decided to join his lovely wife, Sara, in retirement. He has created quite a legacy in our community, and has left some very big shoes to fill.

“Luckily, he has found the perfect person to take over the practice and continue on in providing the absolute best care and dental experience imaginable. Come July, our office will switch over to Paul Ingles DMD.”

Ingles is from the Port Huron area.

“When we say it’s meant to be, we really mean it! Would you believe us if we told you that they even have the same birthday… even crazier that birthday is CHRISTMAS DAY!? It really was meant to be! 

“Please join us in wishing Dr. Sexton the best in his much deserved transition into retirement, and giving Dr. Ingles the warmest welcome to our community.”
