Earth Day art project in Martin attracts variety of entries

M.E.S.S.A.G.E, a student environmental group, and the Martin High School Art Department invited students to take part in the second annual Earth Day Art Display.
The work must have a theme of environmental protection or address a related topic (such as renewable energy).
MESSAGE President Austin Marsman said, This art display really is already starting great conversations about environmental issues. People from around the world will come together to celebrate, act, and discuss their common home.”
Marsman has been MESSAGE President for six years. The acronym MESSAGE stands for Martin Environmentally Sustainable Schools Action Group Elite.

“The big idea [behind my work] was to encourage people to use renewable energy” explained Kelsey D., a freshman.

Art will be on display at Martin High School thru the end of April.
