Evelyn Niemchick, age 88, of Wayland, died Thursday, June 18.

Evelyn loved the outdoors, loved her flowers, had many friends, and was loved by all. She was a lifelong member of the Wayland VFW Auxiliary and always helped those in need.

She is survived by her children Renee (Tom) Latondress, Cody (Julie) Niemchick, Kris (Sandy) Niemchick, Sheri (Joe) Fredricks, Stacy (John) Schumaker and Wendy (Rick) Dunkle;
ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; siblings Mike (Jan) Burian, Lilian Jager, and Wayne (Rose) Burian; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Niemchick and lifelong friend, Otto Banas.

Celebration of life will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., Saturday June 27, at Wayland VFW, 735 S. Main St., Wayland.
