‘Divots for Dawson’ golf scramble will be Saturday, Sept. 12

A “Divots for Dawson” golf outing fund-raiser will get under way with a shotgun start at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at the Yankee Springs Golf Course.

Dawson Babiak is a 5-year-old boy battling Leukemia (ALL). The cost is $60 per golfer, and the competiton will be all foursomes. “It will be a scramble, so you do not need to be a ‘golfer’ to participate,” promised Dawson’s mother, Alison.

There will also be prizes, food at the turn and after golf, 50/50, etc. Also being sought are hole sponsors at $100 a hole.

Proceeds will be used to help the Babiak family defray costs of Dawson’s expensive treatments. Alison is a teacher at Wayland Middle School and father Jason teaches at Hopkins High School.
