Wildcat girls, boys to play in Cornerstone holiday hoops tourney

The Wayland boys’ varsity basketball team will get about 10 days off after playing Hamilton in a non-league contest Friday evening, Dec. 18, but the Lady Wildcats will be in action Monday afternoon against Sparta.

Coach Marty Howard’s girls’ squad will get under way at 2:30 p.m. Dec. 21 in the opening round of the Cornerstone University Holiday Tournament. They will play again on Wednesday, Dec. 23.

Coach Mike Hudson’s boys’ team will play Forest Hills Central at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29, in the Cornerstone tourney. The second round of the boys’ tournament will be played on Saturday, Jan. 2.
