Wayland band concert is Wednesday at Fine Arts Center

Wayland High School band members in grades 8-12 will perform in a special concert at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, at the Wayland High School Fine Arts Center.

The groups will include the eighth grade band/HS Jazz band/HS band and various small chamber ensembles performing. The eighth-graders will play a salute to Louis Armstrong, the HS jazz band has some great tunes like “Sir Duke” and Bye Bye Blackbird (featuring Griffin Sikkema), and the HS is performing selections from “Les Miserables.”

The bands will be under the baton of Director Kelli Smith.
