All three area high schools will have homecoming festivities Friday, Oct. 16.
• At Wayland, the homecoming parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. at Wayland Hardware, 415 Reno Drive and travel east on Superior Street to the high school stadium at 870 E. Superior.
The homecoming court will be crowned at about 6:30 p.m., and the football game against South Christian High School will start a half hour later.
• In Hopkins, judging will begin at 5:50 and the parade will start at 6 at Hopkins High School, 333 Clark St. traveling on Main Street, wrapping around and returning to the high school. The game will be against Lee High School, at 7 p.m. The Hopkins FFA will sell barbecue dinners for $8 per adult at the fire barn.
• Martin’s homecoming parade will begin at 1 p.m. on 10th Street and will travel east on M-222 to the high school parking lot. The 11th and 12th grade powder puff game and the seniors vs. staff game will follow, until about 3 p.m.
The football game against Galesburg-Augusta will begin at 7 p.m.
