More than 65 area businesses, non-profits and service agencies are preparing for the Allegan Area Chamber of Commerce’s 2015 Allegan Expo: Rediscover Your Community from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 28 at The Silo.
This annual event promises fun and entertainment for the whole family, and an opportunity for local businesses and service organizations to promote their products and services.
The Expo will include live entertainment, appearances by local celebrities, free product samples and giveaways, complimentary bites from area restaurants, vendor sponsored door prizes, free health screenings provided by Allegan General Hospital, home project demonstrations, area emergency services vehicle display, and activities for the kids. There also will be a chance to win a tablet computer by playing Allegan EXPO Expedition.
DJ Mitch Wooster will provide music, vendor advertisements, trivia and a few rounds of Name That Tune.
The Vehicle Display, emergency and otherwise will include the arrival and departure of West Michigan Air Care’s MedEvac Helicopter (times TBA). Along with vehicles from area emergency response units, the Allegan Snowmobile Club will be bringing its trail groomer for its first expo appearance.
The Kid’s Corner attractions once again free kid’s haircuts from Brandon Jay Andrus (high school seniors and below), and hands on exhibits from the Forever Curious Children’s’ Museum, and an arts and crafts table presented by the Allegan Area Arts Council.
