Blood drive July 6 in Hopkins is in Brandon Dawson’s honor

A blood drive in honor leukemia patient Dawson Babiak, son of Hopkins teacher Jason Babiak and Wayland teacher Alison Babiak, will be held at Hopkins High School Monday, July 6.

This is the first blood drive that the Hopkins National Honor Society will be doing during the summer months.

“Please get the word out so we can make this a successful event,” said his father. “Thank you for considering to donate blood. To this day, Dawson has needed countless blood transfusions. In my lifetime I do not even think I have donated enough blood equivalent to what my son has needed and I donate four times a year, now soon to be five.
