The Allegan County Democratic Party will sponsor a presentation on health care by emergency physician Dr. Rob Davidson from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Allegan District Library Carnegie Room, 331 Hubbard St.
Polls repeatedly show that health care is voters’ number one issue. Regardless of political affiliation, voters trust doctors over politicians to talk about health care. Dr. Rob Davidson, is a 20-year veteran emergency physician, former Democratic candidate for the U.S .House in Michigan’s Second Congressional District, and current executive director of the Committee to Protect Medicare and Affordable Care.
A record number of doctors support the Affordable Care Act (ACA) even as the Trump Administration is striving to end it through the courts. Passing the ACA in 2010 helped expand health care, adding coverage to more than 20 million Americans.
Dr. Davidson will talk about what and his committee are doing to protect Medicare, control prescription drug costs, and advance affordable care.
