Martin Hot Dog Dinner is back to school event

Martin Public Schools will have a Hot Dog Dinner and “back to school” celebration from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m, Thursday, Aug. 19, at Templeton Street at the elementary, middle and high school entrances.

Special guest  will be Western Michigan University basketball coach Steve Hawkins.

Also included will be an Allegan County Health Department Clinic for COVID-19 vaccines; orientations for sixth and eighth grades; band preview; face painting and a chance to meet meet teachers live and in person. Dinner starts at 5 p.m., vaccines start at 4:30.
