School begins on Tuesday, Sept. 8, at Wayland, Hopkins and Martin.
Hopkins High School has planned orientation sessions starting Monday, Aug. 24. Orientation dates are as follows:
• Ninth grade — Monday, Aug. 24, 7:30 p.m.
• Sophomores — Monday, August 24, 6 p.m.
• Juniors — Tuesday, Aug. 25, 6 p.m.
• Seniors —Tuesday, Aug.25, 7:30 p.m.
Information packets will be mailed home this week with more information.
Wayland Union Schools have scheduled open houses to enable families to visit their children’s school buildings the week before.
Open houses will be held Tuesday, Sept. 1, from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at Wayland Middle School, (choose from 4-5:30 or 6-7:30; from 5 to 6 p.m. at Baker Elementary and from 6 to 7 p.m. at Dorr and Steeby elementaries.
An open house will be held Wednesday at Wayland High School from 5:30 to 8 p.m. and at Pine Street Elementary from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
