Pearl Harbor Day program set at Wayland Middle School Dec. 7

Wayland Union Middle School will hold its annual Pearl Harbor Day program to remember the events of Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941 and to honor local veterans.

The program will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, December 7, 2015 at the Wayland Middle School gym, 701 Wildcat Drive in Wayland.  The Wayland VFW Post #7581 will name the VFW Teacher of the Year.

Prior to the ceremony at 1 p.m., Wayland Union Middle School students will hold a tea for veterans and interview them about their military experience.  This is open to the public and local veterans are encouraged to attend.

The program also will include performances from the middle school choir and orchestra.
