The primary election in Michigan will be held from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, at polling locations throughout the area. Those who want to know where should check with local township or city web sites.
The offices of state representative, state senator, governor, attorney general and secretary of state will be on the ballot. A reminder, however, is that voters can only select candidates from one party; they cannot split their ticket.
Also on the ballot will be millage issues. In these parts that includes a bond issue for Wayland schools and a senior citizens’ millage in Allegan County.
Those who would rather vote by mail must cast ballots no later than 4 p.m. Monday, July 18.
