A public forum onDorr Roads Promo a proposed three-mill request in the August primary for Dorr Township roads will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, May 16, at the Dorr Township Hall.

The meeting, sponsored by the Citizens Road Committee of Dorr, is expected to attempt to explain the need for improving and paving roads in the township over the next four years. There will be other forums before the primary, at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, at the Dorr Township Library, 1804 Sunset Drive, and 7 p.m. Thursday, July 21, at the township hall.

The three mills would raise about$693,000 in the first year andwould cost the owner of a $100,000 home about $150 per year.

There also will be a half-mill request for fire department equipment replacement on the primary ballot.

Carolyn Sandel, chairwoman of the Citizens Road Committee has continued to lay out a plan for paving and improving roads specifically within the township.
