Skilled Trades Fair set at Allegan Tech Center Jan. 22

Those who want to learn if a new career is something they’re interested are encouraged to attend the Skilled Trades Fair from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, at the Allegan Tech Center.

Michigan is experiencing a shortage in workers in the skilled trades. Many good paying jobs are available, but there aren’t enough workers to fill the positions. A variety of trades will be represented, including Health Care, Information Technology, Construction, Manufacturing and Fabrication, and Transportation.

Representatives from tech schools, community colleges, trade unions and other industry professionals will be on hand to answer questions. The public is welcome and there is no charge to attend.
