“High in Plain Sight,” a community presentation providing details about the drug culture and the way youth are hiding substances is scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, at the Wayland High School Fine Arts Center, 870 E. Superior St.

Allegan County Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition is co-sponsoring the appearance of Jermaine Galloway to explain current drug trends; including identifiers, logos and clothes to demonstrate possible high-risk behaviors in youth. This presentation explains the current drug and alcohol terms in simple language for attendees to apply what they learn in their community, school, or even at home.

This session will not only identify what some of those products are, it also will show attendees behaviors associated with them and how that can impact a young person, family or community, who might be associated with this environment.

The event is free for everyone, but it is asked that those who plan to attend RSVP to help plan for food and presentation materials. All attendees who register online will be eligible to win one of 4- $25 gift cards. Light refreshments will be provided before the presentation.
