Tire recycling event planned for Saturday. Aug. 5

Allegan County Resource and Recovery will have a free tire recycling event from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 5, at the Salem Township Transfer Station, 4145 29th St., Dorr.

There will be a limit of 10 car  and and truck tires per person and four for semi-tractor/trailers. Tractor tires will be limited to one and a call ahead at (269) 686-4559 is necessary by Aug. 3.

Other tire recycling events will be on the same day and times at Manlius Township Hall, Otsego Township Hall and Trowbridge Township Hall.

Tires will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis.
