The Wayland High School Students against Destructive Decisions) group (S.A.D.D.) will sponsor a fun night of trick-or-treating inside the high school from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28.
The event was originally scheduled for Oct. 31, but school officials decided Friday wouldbe better for the activity. The event is designed to promote Halloween safety, is open to the public.
Activities include trick-or-treating (ages birth to eighth grade), best costume contest, best door contest and a haunted hallway. Food will be available.
Community members, businesses, organizations, and families are invited to sponsor a door and pass out treats. There are more than 100 doors available. To sponsor a door, contact SADD at waylandsadd07@gmail.com by Monday, Oct. 24. Door sponsors can begin setup at 3 p.m. the night of the event.
