Wayland schools’ construction groundbreaking June 18

A groundbreaking ceremony for construction projects this summer will be held at Wayland Union High School at 7 p.m. Monday, June 18. The public is invited to attend. The ceremony will take place outside the high school at 870 E. Superior Street in Wayland near the south parking lot area.

The second phase of improvements at the high school will begin in the summer of 2019.

Building renovations include remodeling the media center, which will include new furnishings and windows and areas for student collaboration; select restroom upgrades; security system upgrades; replace railings in main gym; and press box renovations.
