WHS boys’ basketball team to play Henry Ford

The Wayland boys’ varsity basketball team will take on Detroit Henry Ford at 3:30 p.m. Saturday as one of five special hoops matchups in the I-96 Challenge at Grand Rapids Ottawa Hills High School.

It will be the third of the five games scheduled for the day. Williamston will take on Rockford at noon, Lansing Sexton will play Benton Harbor at 1:45 p.m., followed by the Wayland-Henry Ford contest. Detroit Community will play Grand Rapids Union at 5:15 and East Lansing will meet host Ottawa Hills at 7 p.m.

Cost is $10 for the five games, billed as “East vs. West, the Battle of the Best.”
