Hope College senior Sierra Mutschler, a 2015 graduate of Wayland High School, is only two home runs away from the school record for a career.

Mutschler, a member of the Division 2 state championship Wildcat team as a slugging shortstop, plays second base for the Flying Dutch and holds the school record for most home runs as a freshman, 10. She clouted her second homer of the year thus far on Tuesday as Hope won its fifth straight contest after a season-opening loss.

A 2017 Hopkins High School graduate, Hannah VandeRoovaart, also is on the Hope College roster this spring as an infielder.
