mike-miklusicakFormer Wayland High School football standout Mike Miklusicak rushed for 259 yards on 24 carries with two touchdowns to help Hope College post its sixth consecutive victory Saturday, 31-6 over Concordia (WI).

Miklusicak finished the season with 1,077 yards gained from his tailback poisition. Teammate Brandan Campbell gained 167 yards on 27 carries with two touchdowns Saturday and finished the season with 1,361 yards. That marks the first time two rushers have gained more than  1,000 yards for Hope in the same season.

New head coach Peter Stuursma and the Flying Dutchmen had a rough 1-3 start for the season, but reeled off six straight victories to finish at 7-3 overall.

Miklusicak, a junior at Hope, is a 2013 graduate of Wayland High School, where he starred on the gridison and helped the Wildcats capture a post-season playoff berth.
