The local folk music session will be held as usual on the first Saturday evening of the month at Vibrant Grains Bakery and Restaurant, 142 S. Main St., Wayland.
Coordinator and host J.D. Gonzales said,”Despite the rumors, Vibrant Grains will be open. At least for us!”
There have been reports that Vibrant Grains will close as a restaurant, but remain as a bakery, but most recently co-owners Celia and Virgil Gleason have indicated it still will be open with limited menu.
This month’s featured group for the folk music session will be Brushridge. Bill and Lori Bancroft.
“They play it true and honestly,” Gonzales said. “From country to bluegrass to good ole’ Americana. They have played from Michigan to Fliorida and many spots in between. They frequent music festivals and have been know to dance quite a smooth waltz. With homespun humor and a passion for sharing music, they are a surefire delight to sit back and enjoy the tunes.”
The featured group will be followed by open mic starting at 6:45 p.m. and then the all musicians jam session begins at 8 p.m.
Musicians are urged to bring their instruments to join in the fun.
