Freshman Mady Weber from Hopkins contributed 11 points Saturday to Alma College’s huge 61-50 upset victory over Hope, the No. 4 team in NCAA Division III rankings.
Alma snapped a 50-game losing streak to the Dutch. It had not beaten Hope in 23 years to the day. The loss was only Hope’s second all season, and its first in MIAA play.
The Scots wrapped up the regular season at 13-12, with a 9-7 record in MIAA play. They look forward to next Wednesday, when they travel to Albion for the first round of the MIAA Tournament.
