Former Wayland City Councilman Ron Kobish already has another new job after he left town.

Kobish on Facebook today posted an item that he and wife Kim soon will move from Auburn Hills to Canton, where he will serve as community manager for a Sun Communities mobile home park, College Park Estates.

Kobish last March left Wayland to take a new job in Auburn Hills.

He started his local public service on the Planning Commission in 2006 and was elected to City Council in 2008. After being re-elected in 2010, he lost his second re-election bid in 2012 and returned to the Planning Commission. He was made chairman of that body in February 2014 and sought and won his third term on the City Council in November of last year.

Kobish also has been affiliated with the Wayland Ambulance Board, and volunteered time to help the Michigan Main Street program.
