Word has been received that former Wayland and Gun Lake area auto dealer Otto Banas has died at age 92.

Wayland City Councilwoman Lisa Banas, whose husband Dean was his nephew, said, “The family has chosen no formal service. His kids do not live in the area.”

Otto Banas had a used car dealership for many years in downtown Wayland and later on M-179 across from what used to be known as Joe’s Grocery in Yankee Springs Township.
