Former Wayland City police officer Bobbie Jo Ritchie has been recognized recently for 25 years in law enforcement for the Kent County Sheriff’s Department. Ritchie is a graduate of Delton High School, where she starred in girls basketball before becoming a police officer. She currently is a sergeant with the Kent County Sheriff’s Department and is retiring.
