Former Wayland High School standout Stephanie Ainsworth, a junior at Cornerstone University, has been named to the first unit of the Wolverine-Hoosier all-conference basketball team for the second consecutive season.

Ainsworth also was selected to the WHAC all-defensive team

Ainsworth averaged a career best 14.8 points and 9.4 rebounds per game, with 14 double-doubles on the year. She was all named to the all-defensive team thanks to her 68 total blocks on the year, which put her fourth in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).

At Wayland, she was the leading scorer on the Lady Wildcats O-K Gold, district and regional championship team in 2021. She also is co-holder of the Wayland High School single game scoring record with 40 points, shared with Angie Farmer and Presley Hudson.
