Friends, family of Ethan Mutschler attend special service

Despite the oppressive heat and humidity, a fair number of local people, many of them students, turned out Friday evening for a special celebration of life for Wayland High School senior Ethan Mutschler, who was killed a week ago in a traffic accident in southern Kent County. The temperatures were above 90 degrees and the heat index was pegged above 100, but many friends, family and community members showed nonethless at the Wayland High School football field, where Mutschler had planned to spend his fourth season on the varsity as a Wildcat lineman.
