Missy Peckham (center in back, green top and dark shorts) chats with a patron who came to dinner Saturday evening at the United Church of Wayland. Peckham has been diagnosed with esophogeal cancer and a fund-raising dinner and auction was held at the church to try to defray costs of her upcoming surgery. Servers reported a decent crowd turned out to eat and support the local woman. There were reports the event raised more than $2,700.
