Funeral for Bill Guidebeck is at Alpine Baptist

William “Bill” Dean Guidebeck, age 93, of Comstock Park, died at home Tuesday, July 9.

He was born July 8, 1930, at home in Otsego. Bill married Carley Ione Bush on Aug. 7, 1957, at Wayland Calvary Church.

He served his country in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. Bill was a handy man and worked various jobs to prepare him for the mission field. Bill and Carley were missionaries at Broken Arrow Bible Camp, a Navajo Reservation in New Mexico, serving with their time and talents in various ways.

He is survived by his son, Dean Russell Guidebeck; daughter, Renee’ Guidebeck-Gunnink; grandchildren, Selena Martin, Jennifer Howland, Rebecca Estella, Bethany Guidebeck; great-grandchildren, Chase Ezell, Madison (Devan) Little, Lucas Johnson, Abigail (Alex) Cox, Alonna Howland, Lilia Robinson, Marcellus (Rileigh) Hare, Tionna Hare, Isaiah Hare, Isaac Hare, Miriam Hare, Simeon Hare, Quinn Hare, Silas Hare; great-great-grandchildren, Willow Hare, Wells Hare, Stella Grace Little; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Carley; his parents and siblings.

Services will be held Friday, July 19, at 11 a.m. at Alpine Baptist Church, 692 7 Mile Rd. NW, Comstock Park, with Pastor Phil Cox officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the church.

In Bill’s memory flowers and plants can be sent directly to church on the day of the service
