Victoria Susan (Jutila) Jansen, age 72, died Tuesday, Feb. 15.

Vickie deeply enjoyed and was committed to her co-ownership and operations of the original Jerry’s Body Shop of Dorr. She also loved party and event planning, golf, bowling, and racquetball. She sold Avon, Tupperware, and Home Interiors.

Vickie coached girls’ softball, led Girl Scouts and was a Boy Scout den mom. She was always quick to volunteer her time and resources. Vickie carried herself with grace, and dressed with elegance. Her gift was to think of others and those who knew her are certain her positive influences shall be carried on for generations.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jerry Jansen Sr.; children Jerry (Vanessa) Jansen and Constance Jansen; Mother-in-law Ev Jansen, grandchildren and great-grandchildren Heaven Morrison, Jolie and Jared West, Marlee Morrison, Maelee Fein, Sage Boerema, Aurora West, Jerry III, Shelby Jansen, Kyle Jansen, Vienna and Decklyn Jansen; siblings Janet Jutila, John Jutila, Sheri (Skip) Weller, Alan (Lynn) Jutila, Gail Krenn, Jay Jutila, Joan (Jim) Slopsema, Larry (Laurel) Jansen, Ron (Mary) Jansen, Stan (Sharon) Jansen, Steve (Kathy) Jansen, Ted (Joni) Wustman, Trudi (Bob) Reurink, and Tami Rabke; cherished friendships Jinger and Roger VanPutten, Mimi and Jim Vanden Berg, and Bill W.

She was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Wylda Jutila, Father-in-law Stanley Jansen; and immediate family members , Annetta Jansen, Jimmy Jansen, Tim Wustman, and Kathy Jutila. 

Services will be held 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, with one hour of visitation prior at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 4125 18th St., Dorr. Vickie’s family also will have a celebration of life from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, March 12, at the VFW Hall, 735 S. Division, Wayland.
