
Corey Dale Lake, age 47, died in the comfort of his home Tuesday, May 6.
Corey loved fishing, hunting and gaming with friends. He had a love-hate relationship with Detroit sports. Corey grew up farming and always appreciated that work as he looked back. He coached his kids in soccer and had a stellar record in the Kalamazoo tournaments they played in.
Corey is survived by his wife of 29 years, Sunni Lake; kids Kiley, Jordan, Emmy and Peyton Lake; grandson, Arlan Lake; parents Dale (Pati) Lake, Jenifer (Todd) Barr; siblings Dale Jr. (Krystle) Lake, Fred Lake, Nile Lake, Donald (Molly) Shores, Natasha Shores, Loni (Alex) Lefers, Sierra Sigler; mother-in-law, Deborah Scott; father-in-law, Curt Lefers; and many aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his nephew, Parker G. Lake; his Aunt Theresa; grandparents L.G. and Shirley Lake, Virginia and Joseph Scott.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 and 6to 8 p.m. Friday, May 9, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services, 312 North Main St., Wayland. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 10, at the funeral home, with visitation prior to the service beginning at noon. Interment will be at Bradley Indian Mission Cemetery.
