Lois Marie Hays, 91, of Allegan, died Saturday, July 20, at Allegan County Medical Care Community.
Born Aug. 16, 1932, in Allegan, she was the daughter of the late Troy E. and Dorothy (Mattison) Clawson and was the wife of the late Rex Hays.
Lois was a member of Monterey Center United Methodist Church. She loved to travel, especially to Hilton Head, and shopping trips to craft stores.
Lois is survived by her children, Cheryl (Bob) Larr, David (Linda) Hays and Randy (Kim) Hays; grandchildren, Shawn, Kalene, Kacey, Kelli, Kammy, Tyler and Shelby; 20 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Lloyd Clawson, Dorothy Miller and Betty Emmons; and her infant great-grandbabies, Abby Byrne and Joshua Tuls.
The family will receive friends at Monterey Center United Methodist Church, 3022 130th Ave., Hopkins, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 25. The funeral will begin at 11:30 a.m. with Comer Skinner and Pastor Craig VanBeek officiating. Lois will be laid to rest beside Rex in Poplar Hill Cemetery following the service at the funeral home.
