Funeral mass for Lynn Van Wagner will be Thursday

Lynn Louise Van Wagner, age 39, of Dorr, died Friday, April 21.

Lynn was looking forward to starting school in 1989, but days after her 5th birthday, she had the beginning of a rapidly growing tumor. She went through numerous surgeries, treatments, and reconstructive surgeries until the age of 22.

Lynn was very artistic and enjoyed baking and decorating baked goods. She loved setting up parties and doing multiple crafts. She was very handy with tools and built her own little house with the help of her uncle, Mike Kloska, and her dad.

She is survived by her parents Don and Patricia Van Wagner; siblings Paul (Jackie) Van Wagner, Eric (Theresa) Van Wagner; niece, Madeline; nephews Justin, Leo; and many extended relatives, family, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents James and Theresa Van Wagner, Gerard and Louise Funk; and aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services (Dorr chapel), 4330 18th St., with prayers of the Rosary beginning at 4 p.m. A funeral mass remembering Lynn’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 27, at St. Mary’s Visitation Catholic Parish Church, 2459 146th Ave. SW, Byron Center.

In memory of Lynn and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mary’s “Restoring Our Heritage” or a charity of one’s choosing.
