Paul Donald Burchardt, age 74 of Dorr, died Saturday, July 8.
Paul proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam, stationed in Okinawa. He retired from the Michigan Department of Transportation after 30 years. Paul was a life time member of St. Stanislaus Parish.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Susan (Graczyk) Burchardt; his sons Paul J. (Joan) Burchardt, Daniel J. (Kim) Burchardt, Derek E. Burchardt and daughter Carrie A. Burchardt; grandchildren Seth, Colton and Alyssa; his brothers Stanley (Shari) Burchardt, Patrick (Nancy) Burchardt; his sister Lenore (David) Burnett; many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Helen (Belka) Burchardt.
The funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church with Fr. Derda celebrant. The family will receive relatives and friends Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home Dorr, 4330 18th St. Dorr, and one hour prior to mass Wednesday at church. Burial will be at St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
