Funeral mass will be Monday at St. Mary’s for Marvin Weber

Marvin James Weber, age 88, died Wednesday, Sept. 13.

Marv was a very social person who enjoyed talking with anyone he met and camping with family and friends. He played the guitar when he was younger, and never lost his passion for music. Marv loved playing cards and was a gifted woodworker. Most of all, he cherished time with his family.

Marvin is survived by his children Michael (Barb) Weber, Steve (Carole) Weber, Mary Graham, Rick (Lou Ann) Weber, Chris (Alan) Weber, Gerald (Debra) Weber, David Weber, Tim (Rhonda) Weber, Rod Weber, Alane (Mike) Darling, Len Weber, Lori (Al) Fifelski, Lisa (John) Kloska; 29 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; his siblings Phyllis (Burrell) Stein, Dennis (Shirley) Weber, Barb (Dennis) Roys; his brother- and sisters-in-law Robert Bieber, Gert Weber, Elsie Calogero, Edith Selvig; and many relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Katheryn Weber (Thomas); his parents, Gerald and Katie Weber (Steffes); his son-in-law, Ron Graham; his siblings Maurice Weber, Mary Kay (Bill) VanPelt, and Dolores Bieber.

Viewing and visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17, at Cook Funeral Home in Byron Center, 2067 84th St. SW, with a Rosary service at 5 p.m. Funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 18, at St. Mary’s Visitation Parish, with Father Christopher Derda and Father Stephen Rodrigo officiating.

There will not be a viewing prior to the service at the parish. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Visitation Cemetery.

In honor of Marvin, contributions may be made to Hospice of Holland.
