Dennis John Belka, age 81, died Saturday, Nov. 26.
Dennis was a lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus. He was also devoted to his faith and served at his home church, St. Therese, as an usher. He worked at Rockwell in Allegan for more than 17 years. He enjoyed woodworking and carpentry, eventually working as a carpenter full-time with his father. In his spare time, he enjoyed camping and traveling up north.
He is survived by his siblings Allen Belka, Judie (Don Sr.) Chappell, Dawn (Dennis) Flannery; sister-in-law, Kathy Belka; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Birney Jr. and Arlene Belka; brother, Wayne Belka Sr.; and nephew, Steve Belka.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services, Wayland Chapel, 312 N. Main St. with prayers of the Rosary beginning at 4:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be held noon Monday, Dec. 5, at St. Therese Catholic Church, 128 Cedar St., Wayland, with visitation from 11 to 11:45 a.m. prior the service.
In memory of Dennis and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Therese Catholic Church.
