Funeral Monday for lifetime Hopkins man Harvey Hazen

Harvey G. Hazen, age 92, died, Wednesday, Oct. 18.

Harvey grew up on a farm in Hopkins and celebrated 51 years of marriage to Eleanor Goeree. They raised three children. They enjoyed their time square dancing, camping and winters in Florida. Harvey retired from General Motors after 33 years.

He is survived by his children Beverly (Ken) Sutter, Ken (Sandy) Hazen, and Rodney (Diana) Hazen; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Lorraine Goeree, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wives, Eleanor and Evelyn; parents Fay and Flocey; brother Clifford, and infant sister Doris.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 22, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home, 312 N. Main St., Wayland. The service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 23, at the funeral home. Pastor Karl Rewa will be officiating. Interment will take place at Maplewood Cemetery.

In honor of Harvey, contributions may be made to Wayland Area Ambulance Service.
