Funeral Saturday for antiques store owner Klio Nusbaum

Klio Joanne Nusbaum, 73, of Monterey Township, died Saturday, Sept. 1, at Spectrum Health Rehab and Nursing Center in Grand Rapids.

Born Nov. 21, 1944, in Grand Rapids, she was the daughter of the late Mabel Lucy (Dunning) Manning and Herman Amandus Manning and was the wife of the late Willard Samuel Nusbaum, III. Mrs. Nusbaum was an avid quilter and gardener. She also enjoyed camping, bird watching and cooking, which was exceptional. She was a collector of antiques and owned her own antiques store.

Mrs. Nusbaum is survived by her children, Todd Bursma and wife Penny and Tami Vroma and husband Ed; a brother, Robert Manning and wife Jean; sister-in-law, Geraldine Manning; her stepchildren, Charlynn Butler and husband Scott, Karen Landry, Chris Nusbaum and wife Mary, Nancy Downey and husband Chuck, Mary F. Dulyer and Cathy Sadler and husband Steve; 14 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and many loved nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Virginia Dukes, Etta Mae Coggin, Patricia Loew, Jean Popma and Frederick Manning.

The family will receive friends at Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel, from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 8. A memorial service will follow immediately at the funeral home. Inurnment will take place in Poplar Hill Cemetery.
