Raina Lee (Wilcox) Oldebeken, baptized child of God, died Sunday, April 7. She was 56.

Raina was born June 5, 1967, and lived a full, happy life. She graduated from Martin High School in 1986. She remained in contact with many friends from her youth and will be greatly missed for her rambunctious personality and fun laugh. She knew how to have a good time. She was very invested in the local community and loved helping others.

Raina saved a quote important to her, “Remember me with smiles and laughter for that’s how I’ll remember you all. If you can only remember me with tears then don’t remember me at all.”

She is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Oldebeken; daughter, Kara (Richard) Hebner; two grandsons Christopher and Lincoln; sister, Sandra VanWormer; half-sisters Debbie Thayer and Tammy Quick; along with many family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond Wilcox, Dorothy Wilcox; siblings Steve Patrick, Stan Patrick and Marvin Patrick.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 11, with viewing and visitation from 9 to 10:45 a.m. at Martin United Methodist Church, 969 E. Allegan St. Service will be officiated by Pastor Margaret (Maggie) Stoken. There will be a luncheon directly following at the church.

Memorial donations may be made in memory of Raina to U of M Health-West Foundation for Cancer Research.
