Alan E. Francis, age 77, died Sunday, April 7.

Alan served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He worked for more than 30 years at Meijer and concluded his career with seven more at Walmart in South Haven.

Alan loved working on cars. He was in the middle of restoring “his baby,” a 1984 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. He used to drag race on Woodward growing up in Dearborn. Alan was a huge Notre Dame football fan.

Alan is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Rexanne Marie Francis (Cooper); children Dan Francis, Matt Francis; brother, Gary Francis; and sister-in-law, Linda Losik.

He was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Geraldine Francis; brother, Mark Francis; daughter-in-law, Beth Francis; and granddaughter, Natalie Francis.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 12, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services, 4330, 18th Ave., Dorr. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Jones Cemetery.
