Funeral will be Friday at St. Therese for Herman Snyder, 89

Herman Snyder, age 89, of Wayland, died Tuesday, Feb 2.

Herman was born May 6, 1926, to Mr. and Mrs. Joe Snieder. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the Navy for two years, stationed on the USS Piedmont. He retired from General Motors after 33 years.

Herman was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church and attended SS Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church. Herman will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Ann Nausieda; his children: Terri (Henry) Lutostanski, Rick (Lynn) Snyder, Jim (Roberta) Snyder, Charles (Nancy) Snyder, and Sandi (Craig) Nicely; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his brother: Pete Snider and his sister Katie Svec; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Elizabeth Snyder, children: Susan Littlefield, his brothers and sisters: Theresa (Charles) Carten, Garret James Snider, George (Katherine) Snider, John (Dawn) Snider, and brother-in-law Edwin Svec and sister-in-law Lee Snider.

Friends may visit with Herman’s family from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 5, at St. Therese Catholic Church, Wayland. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. with Father Christian Johnston presiding with military honors. Interment at Winchester Cemetery.
