Joseph Gysin, age 23, of Dorr, died Sunday, Jan. 7.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alfred and Cleo Gysin, and grandfather, Robert Kaczanowski.
He is survived by his parents, Al and Annette (Kaczanowski) Gysin; sisters, Terra (Oran) Hodge, Dana (Justin) White; brother, Al Gysin; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Joe had a passion for everything he did. He was a jet mechanic that loved the Detroit Lions, hunting, playing video games, jamming out to some good tunes, and most of all, partying with his friends. Joe was always a respectful and caring person and made friends everywhere he went.
Boy Scout Troop Leader Scott Dennis reported Gysin earned his Eagle Scout badge in 2012.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 and 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan.11, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services, 4330 18th St., Dorr.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 12, at St. Therese Catholic Church, 128 Cedar St., Wayland. Father Alphonse will be officiating. Interment will be at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery.
In honor of Joseph, and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Parkinson’s Association of West Michigan.
